My oh my it is pretty out there!!

We had our first big dump of snow yesterday and everything is finally all white and beautiful!

This weather has inspired me to list a couple of my favorite vintage fur stoles on ebay this week. They will be for sale this Wednesday, Dec. 10th.

Home again!

Well, we have returned back from beautiful Costa Rica and had a lovely and relaxing holiday!!




Back in biz...and I have decided to clear out the hats!! I have been accumulating these lovelies and decided it was time for them to see some light of day from their hat boxes and for someone to enjoy them!! 15 vintage hats in all, many 1940's with great details of feathers, beading!!

Getting Ready for Halloween??

In our house Halloween is a big deal! We already are shopping for all the finishing touches for our costumes, most is homemade and not a "costume in a bag" deal.

I have also started listing on ebay lots of clothing just perfect for making a memorable Halloween costume.

Did you know that there are ONLY 12 weeks until Christmas?!?!?! A good time to start your shopping and squirrel away those gifts way ahead of time. Then you can enjoy the delightful parts of the season instead of battling it out at the mall!!

I am starting my shopping this week at my favorite local independently owned stores and on etsy!!

I have been a busy girl lately going through all my vintage trims and jewelry bits. My first little creation is ready and for sale in my etsy shop, awaiting a new wrist to adorn.

Here it is all pretty and romantic and sparkly in black and cream with some bling of course!!

There is nothing more rewarding than taking things that would normally be discarded and making something new! The lace had a former life as a vintage 1950's wedding dress bodice.

A little extra on this cuff is the pin that is removable, so you can wear it on the bracelet or remove to wear wherever you please! Hope you like it!!

Sink or Swim??

I don't think I'd be doing too much swimming in this vintage 1920's wool knit swim suit. I'd be too afraid I would be at the bottom of the ocean water-logged or with it around my ankles!! But, what a wonderful piece of history this is!! You can see more of this bathing beauty on ebay!!

Well it is stinking hot here in Western Canada. Just passing the time away sweating at the computer under the big ceiling fan with a nice bottle of cold brewski!!
